GENERAL DESCRIPTION
  • This basic troffer is designed for recess installation in a concealed T-bar ceiling. The body is the same shape for 2X2 and 2X4 and is approved by Underwriters Laboratory as a recognized component (UL #107722).
  • Housing (3 3/4" deep) die formed in standard and 20 gauge, is embossed for maximum rigidity and has rounded side flanges for safety. Four corner tie points for safety wire supports are provided.
  • The ends snap-in to the housing and can be additionally secured with a screw, bolt or rivet. Same end fits 2X2 and 2X4.
  • The end trims extend over the ends and snaps-in to side flanges on housing.
  • Joiner (continuous runs) connects and aligns ends of housing that meet together. Joiner overlaps ends and is mounted by bending tabs.
  • Socket plates snap-in. Available in 2, 3, 4 and U=Lamp Four light and U-Lamp are the same plate. Sockets are tilted forward to provide a spring action for more positive contact with the lamps. Sockets should be slide on, low profile, front load, and made for 20 gauge. Same socket plates fit 2X2 and 2X4.
  • The ballast cover snaps-in without tools for easy installation.
  • The access plate snaps-in for simple hook up to ballast leads without removing door or ballast cover.
  • Door frame screw or rivet together and hinges on ends from either side of housing secured by a rotary cam latch. Door frames come in flush steel and regressed aluminum. Black light leak bands are available as an option.
  • Leveling lungs attach to each corner (4) of body to fasten housing to concealed T-bar ceilings.
  • All parts have a high reflectant baked white enamel finish.
  • Diffusers a prismatic lens and all types of louvers will easily fit our door frame. Diffusers need to be cut to 22 1/2"X46 9/16" for the 2X4 and 22 1/2"X22 9/16" for the 2X2. Notching is usually not required. The reduction in cutting, notching, or use of a special trim will help you lower your overall cost and selling prices.
  • Plaster frames a heavy gauge steel angles which screw together.
